Clearwater Trout Hatchery

BC Conservation Foundation provided $50,000 to assist in the purchase of the Clearwater Trout Hatchery, which was originally built in 1983 for the Department of Fisheries and Oceans to rear salmon for release in the North Thompson drainage.

The Province of British Columbia purchased the facility and refitted it that is now managed by the Freshwater Fisheries Society of BC for rainbow trout, brook char and kokanee.
