Aquatic Research and Restoration Centre

BC Conservation Foundation is very active on the eastern region of Vancouver Island. Our Aquatic Research and Restoration Centre in Nanaimo, BC conducts a variety of research, stock assessments and habitat restoration projects.

Welcome to our Aquatic Research & Restoration Centre

With an extensive history, originating with the Vancouver Island Steelhead Recovery Plan and the Living Rivers-Georgia Basin Program, our team works with numerous partners to facilitate cutting edge research and restoration.

Program offerings include the conceptualization, development and implementation of projects in collaboration with a range of partners: including numerous First Nations, environmental and community-based stewardship groups, philanthropic funders and all levels of government. Through these endeavours, we are helping restore fish populations towards healthy, aquatic ecosystems that flow to the Salish Sea.

Our team offers experience and expertise in biology and project management; combined with an extensive track-record of successful project development, implementation and getting results.

Contact us today to discuss your ideas and projects.

We gratefully acknowledge our office is located on the Snuneymuxw traditional and unceded territory and waters within Coast Salish territory.
