Black Creek Ranch

BC Conservation Foundation donated $50,000 that contributed towards over 324 hectares (800 acres) of valley bottomland and contains prime salmon and fresh water fish spawning and rearing habitat, riparian areas, moose winter range and waterfowl habitat. The property includes part of the Black Creek Ranch on the banks of the Horsefly River about 55 kms east of Williams Lake.

The property contains some of the most important fish-producing habitat in the Fraser River drainage area. The Horsefly River is considered to rival the world famous Adams River for salmon productivity, quality and use. It also produces some of the largest rainbow trout in the world.

Nature Conservancy Canada assumed ownership in 2015.
