Board of Directors

The Board of Directors provide strategic oversight and governance to the Foundation. Responsibilities include setting the Foundation’s direction, ensuring financial stability, and upholding our mission and values. 

Administrative Staff

Our administrative team ensures smooth operations and provides essential support to our programs and projects. They handle everything from financial management to mobilizing field teams, making sure that each project and program runs efficiently and effectively. Their dedication and expertise allow the Foundation to focus on education, collaboration and habitat conservation.

Aquatic Research and Restoration Centre

The Foundation is active on Vancouver Island where our Aquatic Research and Restoration Centre is based in Nanaimo, BC. Our team conducts a variety of research and project implementation including stock assessments, Wild Salmon and Steelhead research, monitoring, evaluation and habitat restoration projects. 

WildSafeBC

The WildSafeBC team helps reduce human-wildlife conflict through education and community engagement. The team conducts workshops, provides education and capacity building, and works closely with a network of local communities across BC to foster safety, greater understanding and respect for wildlife. 

Northen Spotted Owl Breeding Program

The Northern Spotted Owl Breeding Program team is dedicated to the conservation and recovery of one of Canada’s most endangered species, the Northern Spotted Owl. Our team works tirelessly to help breed and release Northern Spotted Owls into their natural habitat. These efforts are leading to significant achievements to ensure the survival of this iconic species in BC.
