BC Conservation Foundation contributed $10,750 in 2008 to the Nature Conservancy of Canada to purchase and manage Rattlesnake Bluffs (3. 86 hectares).
The property hosts species, such as Bighorn Sheep, Yellow-Bellied Marmots, Western Rattlesnake and Great Basin Gophersnake. Several birds are known to nest in the area, including White-Throated Swift, Say’s Phoebe, Common Raven, Red-Tailed Hawk, Cliff Swallow and Brewer’s Blackbird.
