Columbia River Wetlands Eastside

BC Conservation Foundation granted $25,000 for the purchase of the 258-hectare Columbia River Wetlands Eastside in partnership with the Fish & Wildlife Compensation Program and the Nature Trust of BC in 2000. Nature Trust BC manages the property. This parcel helps secures critical habitat at risk for East Kootenay wildlife. Conservation of habitat critical to elk, white-tailed deer, mule deer and waterfowl within the East Side Columbia Wildlife Management Area.
