BC Conservation Foundation granted $30,000 in 2006 to the Nature Trust of BC to purchase and manage the Bull River Grassland Corridor (67.7 hectares).
The area contains grasslands, forests and riparian habitats that create ideal environments for ungulates, including Rocky Mountain Bighorn Sheep, Elk, Mule Deer and White-Tailed Deer. A woodlot contains a small marsh that supports the Painted turtle and numerous bats.
The Bull River Grassland Corridor is home to many species of birds to the north and south across the Douglas Plateau.
